WHAT WILL IT COST?

ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE (Non-Refundable)

A $50 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment, along with a signed registration agreement, to reserve your student’s place in class.

  • Families with more than one student pay a $75 total registration fee.
  • The fee will be posted to your account upon enrollment.


COSTUME FEE (Non-Refundable)

Each dancer will need a costume for our end-of-year Recital Performance in May. Costume fees typically range from $100–$150 per costume.

  • Costume fees will be auto-drafted on November 30th.
  • Costumes are ordered in December to ensure timely arrival before recital pictures in April.


RECITAL FEE (Non-Refundable)

Due March 1st
The recital fee helps cover the costs of producing a professional, full-scale show at a landmark theatre. This includes:

  • Backdrops and scenery
  • Lighting and sound technicians
  • High-quality printed programs
  • An end-of-year gift for each dancer

The recital fee is $75 per dancer and will be auto-drafted on March 1st.

TUITION CHART 

Monthly tuition is calculated by dividing the full season’s tuition into 9 equal payments, which helps account for both long and short months.


Payment Information:

  • Monthly payments are auto-drafted on the 15th of each month using the credit card on file.
  • If you prefer to pay by cash or check, payment must be received by the 1st of the month.
  • A valid credit card is required on all accounts, even if you plan to pay by another method.
  • You will receive an emailed receipt after each auto-draft.


Paying for the Full Year:
You may choose to pay the full season’s tuition in one payment and receive a 5% discount if paid by Sept. 30th.


**Please note: If you withdraw for any reason (such as illness, injury, or scheduling conflicts), a
20% early withdrawal fee will apply to your refund for the remaining months. We recommend full-year payment only if you’re confident your dancer will complete the season.


Family Discount

Families with more than one student enrolled at The Dance Centre receive a tuition discount:

  • 10% off for the second child
  • 15% off for the third child


Late Fees

Payment Deadlines:

  • Monthly payments are due by the 15th of each month
  • Semester payments are due by the first class of each semester
    Payments received after the due date will incur a $20 late fee.

ABSENTEE POLICY 

Consistent attendance is essential to a dancer’s growth and development. Please note that tuition is non-refundable for missed classes, including those missed due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or other personal reasons. However, we encourage students to take advantage of our make-up class policy by attending another class of similar age, level, and style to stay on track and continue progressing.



INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSING POLICY

The Dance Centre typically follows the Tuscaloosa City Schools regarding weather-related closures for the safety of our students and staff. Any studio closings will also be communicated promptly via email and posted on our social media platforms.


While tuition is not refunded for weather-related cancellations, students are encouraged to make up missed classes by attending another class appropriate for their age and level.

Withdrawal from Class:
If a student needs to withdraw before the end of the season, a 30-day notice must be submitted via email to welcome@thedancecentre.net. Families are responsible for tuition payments until the official notice is received and confirmed by our staff.
