About Chrissy

Chrissy Galea grew up in Tuscaloosa where she began her dance career at the age of two. Growing up, she was a competitive dancer for seven years and trained in a variety of styles including hip hop, ballet, jazz, and contemporary. She has also been involved in other performing groups including various show choirs, dance lines, and theatrical productions. At the age of fifteen, Chrissy was selected by Joe Lanteri to be the recipient of the NYCDA triple threat scholarship and travelled to New York City for two weeks to train with professional performers including Chloe Arnold, Andy Pellick, and Scott Jovovich.

Chrissy is a graduate of The University of Alabama where she majored in Human Environmental Sciences. She has been an instructor at The Dance Centre for six years and has created choreography for numerous soloists and small group competition pieces, as well as a variety of organizations around the city of Tuscaloosa.
