About Jayci

Jayci Kalb grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama dancing at The Dance Centre starting at age 3. She was a company member at The Dance Centre traveling to compete and assist at conventions across the country for 13 years. At the age of 12 Jayci was chosen to dance the role of Clara in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York City dancing with the Rockettes. After Jayci spent several months living in New York, she was asked to perform with the “Shaping Sound” company in Los Angeles, California where she signed with her agency. Jayci then started her professional dance journey traveling around the country at age 13. 

Over the years, Jayci has won 6 national titles, won numerous regionals including Youth American Grande Prix ballet and contemporary award, and received the Druid City Arts Award for Dancer of the Year in Tuscaloosa. Receiving invitations to attend the most prestigious intensives, her career took off. After Jayci graduated from high school, she moved to Los Angeles, California to to further pursue her dance career as a professional. While in LA, Jayci performed on the Ellen Degeneres show and worked with the best choreographers in California. 

Jayci moved back to Tuscaloosa, AL to get her degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama while teaching weekly at The Dance Centre since 2017. Since Jayci has graduated from Alabama, she has been choreographing, teaching, and furthering her career in Interior Design. Jayci is currently the jazz, contemporary, and lyrical teacher at The Dance Centre. She loves teaching and dancing with her students and enjoys inspiring them even more!
