"The family that The Dance Centre has is so special. I look forward to going to work every day and I couldn't ask for a better group of students, faculty, and families to share my love for tap dance with. Tap dance is for anyone and everyone! Happy tappin'!"

About Cole

A Tuscaloosa native, Cole has been dancing since the age of seven, when he was cast in his first musical theatre production. Soon after, he began private dance training and after learning in a variety of styles, found a particular interest in tap dance. Over the following years, he continued training with an emphasis on tap dance. During this time, he trained under renowned choreographers such as Billy Porter, Paul Canaan, James Kinney, and Nikki Snelson to further his knowledge. Soon, Cole began to make a name for himself, and has since been cast in numerous productions in roles that require an experienced tap dancer.

At the age of fifteen, Cole began teaching private tap lessons at his home, and the following year began teaching at a local studio as a tap dance teacher. Since then, he has continued to help students find their "rhythm" and an appreciation for tap dance by promoting a positive classroom atmosphere and a love for the process rather than the result. Aside from tap, Cole is heavily involved with the Tuscaloosa performing arts community, creating choreography for various schools and organizations such as the Tuscaloosa County High School Show Choir, Brookwood High School Theatre Department, the Actors' Charitable Theatre, Tuscaloosa Christian School Fine Arts Department, and Tuscaloosa Children's Theatre.
