About Morgan

Morgan Williams is a graduate of The University of Alabama with degrees in Dance and Nutrition. She was a 4 year member and Captain of Alabama’s Dance Team and began teaching at The Dance Centre while at UA. After graduating, she moved to Orlando and worked as a character performer at Walt Disney World. She continued her dance education as a Universal Dance Association staff member and judge as well as a pure barre instructor and personal trainer from 2011 to 2016. Morgan served as a volunteer assistant, assistant coach, and was hired head Coach of The University of Alabama’s Dance Team in 2017 and is currently in her 5th season. She finds so much joy and fulfillment being able to give back to the program that shaped her dance journey, and she enjoys working daily as a dance (and life) coach for collegiate dancers.

Morgan is passionate about dance education in Tuscaloosa as well as community outreach. Over the past decade, she has served the Tuscaloosa Community as a board member of The Dance Initiative, Tuscaloosa Community Dancers, Chance to Dance outreach, and the Let’s all Dance inclusion program. As a member of Junior League Tuscaloosa she served in Holt Elementary School and volunteered at The Tuscaloosa Magnet School teaching dance. She was awarded the 2019 Druid City Arts Awards “Dance Educator of the Year” and continues to pursue avenues to give back to the arts community in Tuscaloosa.

Morgan began her journey teaching  at The Dance Centre in 2010 and has always seen the bright light that The Dance Centre is in the lives of so many young dancers. She became co-owner and co-director along side of her role model, mentor, and friend, Melissa Verzino, in the Fall of 2018.

Morgan is honored to continue pursuing excellence as a leader in the business she holds so dear to her heart with the amazing people who make up #sweethomeTDC!
