About Rose

Rose Powell is a senior at the University of Alabama and plans to graduate in May 2024 with a degree in kinesiology with a concentration in physical education. She is on her second year of student teaching with the Tuscaloosa School System. She plans to use her degree by not only continuing to teach students at the dance studio but also teaching all ages through other physical activities such as swimming, volleyball, Zumba, and more.

Rose started dancing in her home town of Prattville AL at age of 5! Since the age of 6 she was a member of her studios competitive dance team and later part of the staff. Rose has been a member of the Alabama Dance team since her freshman year. She has a special love for not only dance, but the arts as well. She has been in several plays with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery AL and participated in acting classes throughout grade school.



Rose loves being able to be part of students’ lives through teaching. She can't wait to be part of the TDC family this year and share her knowledge and love of dance with all of her new students!
